Five members of the Hobart College ice hockey team were honored by the Statesmen Athletic Association and the Hobart College Athletics Department at the annual Block H Awards dinner on April 28. Junior defenseman
Ryan Michel was presented with the Boswell Award as the team's MVP.

Tommy Fiorentino received the Holden Award, and the D. Michael Hazelton '85 Memorial Award was given to first-year defenseman

Jon Neal shared the Rookie Award for Hockey.
An All-ECAC West second team selection for the second year in a row, Michel led Hobart with 18 assists this season. He played in 25 games and added one goal. Michel ranked second in the conference and 18th in the nation in points per game by a defenseman (0.76). He ranked fourth in the ECAC West in assists, tied for fourth in power-play points (13), and tied for 19th in points. Michel set up the game-winning goal in Hobart's 2-1 win over Nazareth in the ECAC West Tournament and notched a goal and an assist against Elmira in an ECAC West tournament semifinal. He logged three assists in a 7-4 victory over Cortland and in a 5-1 win over the Golden Flyers. Michel played a key role in the Statesmen defense which ranked second in the conference with 2.85 goals allowed per game and led the league on the penalty kill (83.3%).
Michel has played in 71 career games, posting seven goals and 45 assists for 52 career points.
A captain, Fiorentino played in all 27 games this season. He posted 14 points on eight goals and six assists. Fiorentino finished the season ranked 18th in the league in goals. He chipped in a goal and an assist in a 5-0 rout of Manhattanville. Fiorentino added two assists in a 3-2 overtime victory at then No. 3 Utica.
A three-time member of the ECAC West All-Academic team, Fiorentino played in 102 career games. He registered 27 goals and 25 assists for 52 career points.
Beyer played in 18 games in his rookie season. He logged five goals and five assists for 10 points. Beyer tallied a goal and an assist in a 3-1 victory over then No. 1 Plattsburgh in the Cardinals' 2014 Buck Supply Winter Classic, earning a spot on the all-tournament team. He chipped in two goals in a 7-4 victory at Cortland. He finished the season tied for 12th in the ECAC West in first-year scoring and ranked 15th in defenseman scoring.
Belizario and Neal each played a key role in the Statesmen defensive and penalty kill units which ranked among the best in the league. Both defensemen played in all 27 games this year.
Belizario recorded five goals and 11 assists for 16 points. An ECAC West All-Rookie Team selection, Belizario ranked third in the league in defenseman scoring and tied for fourth in first-year scoring. He garnered a spot on the 2014 Buck Supply Winter Classic All-Tournament team after helping the Statesmen top then No. 1 Plattsburgh in the championship game. Belizario posted three assists in a 5-2 win over Salve Regina and added a goal and two assists against Nazareth.
Neal produced two goals and six assists in his rookie season. He tallied two assists in a 3-3 tie with then No. 7 Utica and scored a goal in an ECAC West tournament semifinal against Elmira.
The Statesmen finished the 2013-14 season with a 14-9-4 overall record and advanced to the ECAC West tournament semifinals. It was Hobart's 12th consecutive winning season.
