Team of Distinction: 1938 Hobart Lacrosse

The 1938 Hobart lacrosse team was among the first four teams to be honored as a Team of Distinction. Along with the 1940 lacrosse team and 1954 and 1957 football teams, the 1938 lacrosse team was recognized as a Team of Distinction on Nov. 3, 2006.

The 1938 lacrosse team was the first team in Hobart lacrosse history to go undefeated. Led by Coach “Babe” Kraus and captain Nick Iorio, the team finished 6-0, including wins over traditional rivals Cornell and Syracuse. It was Hobart’s 41st season of lacrosse, and its first unbeaten and untied campaign.
