A four-time lacrosse All-American, Hoover holds the William Smith career records for goals (208), assists (175), and points (383). Her 383 points is second all-time in NCAA Division III. She claims the top-4 William Smith single season assist totals and the top-3 single season points totals. The co-winner of the Stephanie Christie ’82 Award (outstanding William Smith first-year), she captured third-team All-American honors in 1992, second-team accolades in 1993, and first-team recognition in 1994 and 1995. A three-time member of the All-State team, Hoover also led the Herons to the NCAA Championship game in each of her four seasons, helping William Smith to a four-year record of 62-5 (.925). William Smith’s Marion Harrison Greene ’20 Award winner, her excellence on the lacrosse field earned her a spot in Sports Illustrated’s “Faces in the Crowd,” in 1995.
A member of the senior gift committee, she spent two seasons as an assistant coach for the Herons before pursuing a career in massage therapy.
