Dascano Becker and her fellow defenders were among the stingiest in William Smith history, ranking fourth (0.64 in 1997), sixth (0.78 in 1998), and ninth (1.02 in 2000) in season goals against average.
In addition to winning three UCAA Championships, Dascano Becker helped William Smith capture national championships in 1997 and 2000.

As a first-year, Dascano Becker was a key contributor to a defense that posted 11 shutouts. After dropping their season opener, the Herons rattled off a 13-match winning streak that stretched into mid-October. Lebanon Valley stopped the run, handing William Smith a 1-0 setback, but Dascano Becker and her teammates rebounded with a seven-match win streak that culminated in a 3-0 shutout of Cortland in the national championship. Her role in the title run earned her the first of four consecutive all-region team honors.

Jessica Dascano Becker '01A year later, Dascano Becker and the Herons again produced a 13-match winning streak that included nine shutouts. This time, William Smith advanced to the national semifinals, finishing the year with a 17-3 record.

In 1999, Dascano Becker earned second team All-American honors, as well as the ECAC Mid-Atlantic and UCAA defensive player of the year awards. William Smith was the runner-up in the New York State Tournament and captured the ECAC Mid-Atlantic Tournament championship that year.

As a senior, Dascano Becker logged four defensive saves, three assists, and a goal as Heron field hockey again returned to the pinnacle of Division III. She was named to the NCAA All-Tournament Team, earned first team All-American recognition, and collected the UCAA Player of the Year award. Dascano Becker capped her collegiate career with the Division III Player of the Year award.

Dascano Becker graduated from William Smith with a bachelor’s degree in English. She earned a master’s degree in education from SUNY Oneonta in 2005. For the past 15 years, Dascano Becker has taught in the Greene Central School District. For nine seasons, she coached the Trojans’ modified and junior varsity field hockey teams.

In 2005, Dascano Becker was one of two Herons named to the NCAA Division III Field Hockey 25th Anniversary team.
