The most decorated swimmer in Hobart history, John “Jack” Fulton holds five individual school records and owns a share of three relay records. He competed in the NCAA National Championship meet as a junior, earning honorable mention All-American awards in three events. The following year, Fulton amped up his performance, placing in the top eight at nationals in both the 200-yard freestyle and the 500 free, garnering first team All-American accolades. A two-time team captain, he is the only Hobart swimmer to win the Babe Kraus Award (1992).

A four-year letterwinner in the pool, Fulton won the Hobart most improved swimmer award in 1989 and was the team MVP as a junior and senior.

Fulton was a member of the Hobart Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and Theta Delta Chi fraternity. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in history and art history.
