Hobart and William Smith Colleges Athletics

A standout in three sports, Hyatt Lee was a four-year starter for the field hockey and lacrosse teams. An excellent sportswoman, she was also a member of the swim team. She was a member of the Athletic Association board during her junior and senior years and served as the president of the William Smith Athletic Association, 1967-68. An active member of the community and a strong student, Hyatt Lee served on the Big Sister Committee and was a Dean’s List student.

“Linda was a leader in women’s athletics at a time when very few women participated,” William Smith Director of Athletics Susan Bassett said. “Although William Smith College has a proud tradition in athletics, Linda’s prowess during her era is impressive by any standard.”
