  • Became the first national champion in any William Smith sport at the 1982-83 national championships when she set both a meet record and school record by winning the 100 backstroke with a time of :59.81. Set both a meet record and school record by winning the 50 backstroke with a time of 28.10. Earned All-American honors with a fourth-place finish in the 200 backstroke. Earned honorable mention All-American honors with a 13th place finish in the 100 individual medley.
  • Became the first William Smith athlete to receive the prestigious Rochester Press Radio Club College Sportswoman of the Year in 1983.
  • Three-time All-American in 1981-82 by finishing fourth in the 50 backstroke; sixth in the 100 backstroke; and eighth in the 200 backstroke.
  • Named team's Most Improved Swimmer in 1981-82.
  • Named team's Most Valuable Swimmer in 1982-83.
  • Established four school records in 1981-82.
  • Upon graduation she held nine individual records and was a member of five record holding relays.
  • At the 1983 New York State Association for Intercollegiate Athletics for Women (NYSAIAW) she won all three backstroke events in state record times, and also won the 200 individual medley. She was also a member of the 800 freestyle relay team which shattered the meet record by nearly 12 seconds. Her performance earned her the Most Valuable Swimmer award at the meet.
  • Received the William Smith Athletic Association Marion Harrison Greene Award for the outstanding senior athlete in 1983.
