Hobart sophomore forward
Arvega Hovsepyan was named the SUNYAC Men's Hockey Offensive Athlete of the Week by the conference office today. This is Hobart's first award from the SUNYAC. In addition, Hobart remained at No. 1 in the USCHO.com Poll for the 33rd consecutive poll.

The Statesmen are coming off a weekend sweep of No. 7 Utica in a rematch of last March's national championship game. On Thursday, just like in March, Hobart needed overtime to beat the Pioneers 6-5 at the Adirondack Bank Center. Two days later at The Cooler, the Statesmen won 2-1.

Hovsepyan, who was not on the ice when the two teams met in March, led Hobart with three points on two goals and an assist. The Salve Regina transfer played the role of hero on Thursday night as he pocketed the game-winner 44 seconds into the overtime period. Hovsepyan broke up a clearing pass from Utica's Kyle Curtin, skated into the low slot and slipped a shot past the goalie. Hovsepyan also had a goal in the second period. On Saturday, Hovsepyan set up
Bauer Morrissey's power-play goal in the first period. Through four games, Hovsepyan leads Hobart with six points on two goals and four assists.
