Palermo went undefeated as Hobart competed for the Conroy Cup. He posted 3-1 wins at No. 2 for the Statesmen in matches against Northeastern, Georgetown, and Connecticut College. Hobart won defeated the Huskies 5-4 and the Hoyas 8-1 before being edged in the final by the Camels 5-4.
