Hobart and William Smith Colleges Athletics

Since 1995, Hobart and William Smith have captured 140 conference championships. A founding member of the Liberty League, which was originally constituted as the Upstate Collegiate Athletic Association in 1995, William Smith field hockey and William Smith soccer earned league titles that first fall.

Today's Hobart and William Smith teams are members of the Liberty League (baseball, HWS basketball, HWS cross country, field hockey, football, HWS golf, WS lacrosse, WS rowing, HWS soccer, HWS squash, HWS swimming & diving, HWS tennis, WS volleyball). Additionally, HWS teams have affiliate membership in the Atlantic 10 (H lacrosse), the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (bowling), the Cross Country Only Conference (HWS cross country), the Middle Atlantic Intercollegiate Sailing Association (HWS sailing), the New England Hockey Conference (HWS hockey), the USCSA Mideast (HWS Alpine skiing) and the United Volleyball Conference (H volleyball).
