Playing No. 1 singles, Slack won her first match of the spring season, defeating Skidmore's Melissa Hirsch 7-6, 3-6, 7-5. The Herons came within a single point of upset the 19th-ranked team in the nation, falling to the Thorooughbreds 5-4.
