Fields, along with senior Bruce Grant, advanced to the doubles semifinals at the USTA/ITA Northeast Regional Championships. In the first round, the duo blanked St. John Fisher's Greg Duffy and Patrick McGrath 8-0. Fields and Grant topped St. Lawrence's Paul Barrett and Spiker Hayden 8-5 in the second round, and then defeated the College of New Jersey's Billy Buchbinder and Jordan Cruz 8-5 in the quarterfinals. Fields and Grant fell 9-8 (7-3) to eventual doubles champions, Hunter Lathrop and Raul Smego of Drew University, in the semifinals. Fields and Grant are the first Statesmen doubles team to reach the ITA semifinals since Peter Piné '05 and Adam Raffa '06 reached the semis in 2004.
