Kovacs recorded three points in Hobart’s two wins over ECAC West rival Neumann last week, helping the Statesmen improve to 10-0-2. His efforts helped extend Hobart’s unbeaten streak to 12 games, which is the longest to start a season in Hobart hockey history. Kovacs netted the game-winner in Friday’s 2-1 victory at 12:02 over the Knights. On Saturday, he scored the Statesmen’s second goal and set up the game-winner 1:44 into overtime for a 3-2 victory. Kovacs has three goals and two assists for five points this season.
