Stone produced a team-high 14 points in a 1-1 week for the Statesmen. In Tuesday’s 12-8 win over Canisius, he recorded a game-high five assists (one more than the Golden Griffins tallied as a team) and picked up three ground balls. With the game tied, 8-8, with 5:42 remaining in the third quarter, Stone assisted on three straight goals, lifting the Statesmen to an 11-8 lead. On Sunday at Robert Morris, he broke Hobart’s Division I game record for assists, setting up eight of the Statesmen’s 12 goals. Stone also scored a goal, giving him a Hobart Division I game record tying nine points. He leads the ECAC in and is seventh in the nation in assists. Stone’s eight-assist performance raised his career total to 51, sixth on Hobart’s Division I list.
