Sitting in the stroke seat for the Hobart varsity eight, Lawhon led the Statesmen on an impressive sprint on Saturday that broke open a tight race with Williams College. Lawhon and his boatmates, Jessica Dinan, August Wherry, Robert McNamara, Milos Milosavljevic, W. Hunter Holtz, Rob Nanovsky, Owen Monahan, and Davis Muller, covered the 2,000-meter course on Fish Creek in Saratoga Springs, N.Y., in 6:03.4, nearly six seconds faster than the Ephs. It was a huge turnaround from last season, when Hobart lost to Williams by more than 10 seconds.
