Steving was the stroke and represents the entire Hobart third varsity eight that captured a silver medal at the ECAC National Invitational Rowing Championships on Lake Quinsigamond in Worcester, Mass., over the weekend. The 3V8 powered by Sky Drazek, Steving, Chris DePaola, Jordan Rooth, Nathaniel Shils, Nick Faiello, Tyler Wilson-Menting, Michael Cichelli and Sam Menchel took first in its morning heat, crossing the line in 6:14.2. The Statesmen finished three second ahead of second place Trinity. In the grand final, Hobart finished just 1.3 seconds behind first place Michigan, covering the course in 6:19.7.
