Gibbons averaged 21.0 ppg, 7.5 rpg, 1.0 apg, and 1.0 spg while leading Hobart to its second consecutive Liberty League Tournament Championship. He scored 17 points on 7-of-13 shooting and 5-of-7 free throws in a 78-69 overtime win against Clarkson in the semifinals. In the championship against Vassar, Gibbons produced game-highs of 23 points and 11 rebounds in a 75-74 double overtime victory. He played all 50 minutes, making 8-of-11 from the field and 7-of-8 from the line. Gibbons was named the Most Outstanding Player of the Tournament for the second year in a row.
