Hannah Glenshaw served as the coxswain for the William Smith second varsity eight that won a gold medal at the Liberty League Championships, leading the Herons to their sixth consecutive and ninth overall conference rowing champion. William Smith covered the 2-kilometer course in 8:04.9, 1.72 seconds head of RIT and 4.204 faster than Rochester.
“Hannah’s extreme composure enabled her crew to come from behind to take the Liberty league title in the last 15 strokes of the race," Head Coach Sandra Chu said. "Adept and agile in the seat, she made some intuitive changes to the way she called the sprint which gave her rowers the scaffolding on which to hang their speed. She completely brought that boat together at just the right moment.”
Coupled with the varsity eight's second place finish, William Smith won the title and the NCAA AQ by a single point over the Yellowjackets. The second varsity was powered by Madelaine Hamilton, Paige Usiak, Kylie Wyskochil, Madeline Cook, Danielle Lewis, Megan Miskovsky, Jules Picuri, and Katie Frohman.
