After leading the Statesmen to the NEC Men's Lacrosse Championship, Brown was named the tournament MVP. He was 2-0 in goal with a 6.50 GAA and a .618 save percentage. Against No. 20 Bryant in the semifinals, Brown made eight saves, including one with two seconds remaining in a one-goal game, and limited the Bulldogs to just six goals. In the title game against top-seeded Saint Joseph's, he turned back 13 shots while limiting the NEC's top scoring offense to a season-low matching seven goals.
