Usiak, a first-year, was the stroke for the Heron second varsity eight that won the petite final at the NCAA Division III Rowing Championships. Leading a young lineup (5 first-years, 1 sophomore, 1 junior, 1 senior), she turned in a veteran-like performance in three races over the Memorial Day weekend. Usiak and her boatmates won the petite final by several boat lengths over Washington (Md.) College, logging a winning time of 7:25.374.
