Senior Emma Diehl anchored the Heron defense that shut out the Blue Devils and Red Dragons this week, and also contributed offensively in all three of William Smith's wins. She shared a team-high with six points on two goals and two assists. In the win over Fredonia, the Herons limited the Blue Devils to just one shot, and Diehl added a goal and an assist. In a 3-1 win over Rochester on Saturday, Diehl set up the Herons' first goal, and in a 3-0 victory on Sunday over Cortland she scored what proved to be the game-winning goal. The William Smith defense held the Red Dragons to just two shots, both coming in the first half. Diehl has registered three goals and two assists this season.
