Ash stroked Hobart's second varsity eight to pair of victories at the Stanford Invitational over the weekend. The Statesmen 2V went 2-1 in head-to-head racing in Redwood Shores, Calif., this past weekend. Hobart logged victories over the University of San Diego and Stanford on Saturday. In the morning race, Hobart's 2V cruised to a 23-second victory over the Toreros. Three hours later, against the host Cardinal, the Statesmen posted their best time of the weekend, stopping the clock at 5:52.2, beating Stanford by 13 seconds. Hobart's lone loss came against the University of California on Friday afternoon.
