Leffler led the way for the Herons at the 2017 Don Richards Invitational this past weekend. She won two events, finished second in two events, and helped two William Smith relays to third place finishes. In the 400-yard individual medley, Leffler touched the wall second with a time of 4:44.41. Her time lowered a 24-year old school record held by Julie Morhouse '97 by five seconds. She won the 200 individual medley with a lifetime best of 2:10.99. She also won the 100 backstroke, stopping the clock at 59.48, missing her own school record time by a tenth of a second. Leffler finished second in the 200 backstroke with a time of 2:10.00, 62-hundredths of a second off school record pace.Â
