Lucas became just the 29th Statesman to score his 1,000th career point over the weekend. He entered Friday's Liberty League showdown with Ithaca 21 points shy of the milestone. Lucas left little doubt that he would hit the mark with a spectacular first half against the Bombers, scoring a game-high 15 points. In one stretch late in the half, he scored 11 of the game's 13 points, helping the Statesmen carry a 47-36 lead into halftime. Lucas scored his 1,000th point with less than 12 minutes remaining in the second half on a driving left-handed layup. He finish the 99-89 victory with 23 points on 10-of-16 shooting. The following afternoon, he contributed eight points and three rebounds to a 79-50 win over RIT.
