Hobart and William Smith Colleges Athletics

Carter helped the seventh-ranked William Smith College sailing team capture the 2018 Middle Atlantic Intercollegiate Sailing Association Women's Championship in Norfolk, Va., over the weekend. The junior skipper finished second in A Division, sailing with senior Haley Okun and sophomore Anna Flaherty. The trio won three races, including the first two of the competition. They added a second place in the fifth and eight races.  Following the regatta, Carter was named the 2017-18 MAISA Women's Sailor of the Year and earned a spot on the All-MAISA Skippers First Team.
