Sitting in the fifth seat, Luce helped the varsity eight win a gold medal at the Liberty League Championships on Friday afternoon. After catching a crab in the openning 200-meters that caused the boat to come to a full stop, Luce and the varsity eight rallied in the middle 1000 to regain the lead. The Statesmen crossed the line with a time of 6:49.200, 3.916 seconds ahead of Ithaca. With an additional gold medal in the 2V8, Hobart captured its 13th consecutive Liberty League Title.
