Cornman represents Hobart's third varsity eight that won a gold medal at this past weekend's National Invitational Rowing Championships. Competing in a finals only format the Statesmen finished first out of seven crews to claim its second consecutive gold medal in the third varsity eight event. Sitting in the stroke seat, Cornman guided the 3V8 down the 2,000-meter Lake Quinsigamond course to a time of 6:10.419, three seconds clear of the second place finisher. Hobart used a strong middle 1,000 to pull past and away from the field and grab the gold medal by a boat length.
