Hobart and William Smith Colleges Athletics

Carter guided the William Smith sailing team to a third place finish at the College Sailing/Sperry Women's National Championship in Norfolk, Va. Serving as skipper, she won A Division, finishing the week with 79 points. Coast Guard was second with 25 points back and the Rode Island was third another 30 points back. Carter and Okun started the week on fire winning four of the first five races on Thursday. They added two more victories on Friday to finish the championship with six wins.. Their six victories were more than any other team had combined between their A and B Division boats. Following the Regatta Carter was named an ICSA Women's All-American.
