Hofmann broke the Hobart game record for passing efficiency and tied the mark for touchdown passes, leading the Statesmen to a 62-24 win over Morrisville State on Saturday. In the first quarter alone, he was 7-of-9 passing for 91 yards and four touchdowns for a 309.38 pass efficiency rating in the opening 15 minutes. Hofmann finished the day 14-of-20 passing for a career-high 239 yards and six touchdowns with a pass efficiency rating of 269.4. Hobart's 62 points in the game are the most in the program's modern era. The only game that saw the Statesmen score more was on Nov. 11, 1896, when Hobart beat Geneva A.C. 70-0.
