The Liberty League Defensive Performer of the Week highlighted a stout performance by the Hobart defense in the season opening win against then No. 13 Brockport 33-7. Forde recorded eight tackles, 2.5 for loss, a sack and a pair of interceptions. He returned his second pick 71 yards—the second longest interception return in Hobart history—setting up a short drive for a Hobart touchdown.
