Gillian played an important role on both ends of the field as William Smith opened Liberty League play with a pair of victories. On Wednesday, she scored her first collegiate goal in the Herons' 2-0 win over RIT. Gillian's game-winning strike into the upper right corner of the cage came from 25 yards out. On the defensive end of the field, she helped William Smith limit the Tigers to six shots, two on cage. It was the Herons' fifth shutout of the season. On Saturday, William Smith limited Skidmore to three shots. The Thoroughbreds, who entered the game averaging 15.4 shots per game, were held without a shot in the second half.
