Weston is the head coach of the Hobart and William Smith swimming and diving teams. He joined the HWS athletic department in August of 2019 when he took over the William Smith swimming and diving team. The Heron golf team was added to his responsibilities prior to the 2020-21 season and lasted two seasons. Weston was named the head coach of the Hobart swimming and diving program in August of 2021.
In 2022-23, Weston led the Herons to a 7-3 season with a ninth place finish at the Liberty League Championships. In his first year at the helm of the Hobart Swimming & Diving team, Weston led the Statesmen to a 1-9 record and 10th place finish at the conference championships. He led both HWS Swimming & Diving teams to CSCAA Scholar-All America Team honors in the fall, which his teams have been awarded with every single semester he has been in charge. Weston produced five Liberty League All-Academic selections as well.
In his first season at William Smith, Weston led the Herons to a 7-1 dual meet record, breaking several individual and relay records. In the classroom, the team also excelled, earning the CSCAA Scholar All-America Team award with seven student-athletes named to the Liberty League All-Academic Team.
An avid golfer, Weston is a member at Clifton Springs Country Club, William Smith’s home course. He was a member of the varsity golf teams at Nazareth College and Midlakes High School. The Phelps native was named the Screaming Eagles’ co-MVP following his senior season.
Weston joined the Herons after spending five years as the head swimming coach at Alfred State. Last season, he guided the Pioneers to their best finish at the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference championships with both the women's and men's teams finishing in second place. Weston's swimmers and divers won 18 individual AMCC titles since 2017 and broke over 100 school records in his first three seasons at Alfred State. He also mentored six AMCC Divers of the Year. Weston's teams earned nine CSCAA Scholar All-America Team awards (Team GPA of 3.0 or higher for the semester). Additionally, Weston served as the aquatics director for Alfred State, where he oversaw renovations to the Orvis Activities Center Pool.
Prior to Alfred State, Weston spent a year as an assistant coach at Binghamton University. He coached the men's and women's distance training group and the mid-distance/stroke group. Weston helped guide the Bearcats to a second place finish at the ECAC Championships. Weston also served as the head coach and aquatics director at Milligan College (Tenn.). He guided swimmers to set 31 new school records and finished 12th at the 2013 NAIA Swimming and Diving National Championships.
A native of Phelps, N.Y., Weston graduated from Nazareth College in 2010 with a bachelor's degree in business administration. He was a three-year member of the Golden Flyers swimming team and swam one season at LeMoyne College. Weston broke four school records at Nazareth and won the USMS two-mile Open Water National Championship in 2009. He held the Niagara District Record in the 18-24 age group in the 400-yard individual medley for nine years. Weston swam for Midlakes High School and the Geneva YMCA prior to college.
