Lindsey Hochman joined the William Smith rowing coaching staff prior to the start of the 2012-13 season. A graduate of Colgate University, Hochman is a three-time member of the U.S. Senior National Team.
 
A bronze medalist in the lightweight women’s quadruple sculls at the 2009 and 2011 World Rowing Championships, Hochman will compete in the event again at the 2012 World Rowing Championships in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, August.
 
Hochman began her coaching career at the Pocock Rowing Center, leading a team of 15 novice girls during the 2009-10 school year. Since February of 2011, she has served as the student cohort manager for Row to the Future, a youth development initiative of the George Pocock Foundation. The program uses rowing to inspire kids to be healthy, active members of their community.
 
Hochman graduated from Colgate with a bachelor’s degree in English. The Dean’s List student minored in film and media studies. As a varsity student-athlete for the Raiders, she was a two-time All-Patriot League selection and a 2007 Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association All-Region second team pick. Hochman stroked the Colgate varsity eight as a senior, leading the crew to a third place finish in the Patriot League Championships and a sixth place finish in the ECAC Metro grand final.
