Hobart and William Smith Colleges Athletics

Another three-sport standout, Raab Wardynski was the top singles player for the Herons’ tennis team in each of her four seasons. During her junior and senior years, she also started for the basketball and lacrosse teams. She captured each of the “big three” William Smith athletic awards: the Stephanie Christie ’82 (outstanding first-year) in 1982, the Hazel Nettleship Hardy ’65 (top athlete in her middle years) in 1983 and 1984, and the Marion Harrison Greene ’20 (outstanding senior) in 1985. Raab Wardynski also served as the William Smith Athletic Association vice president.

After graduation, she remained active in the Colleges’ community and William Smith athletics. Raab Wardynski served on the Heron Society board of directors from 1989 through 1996, including a stint as president from 1993 through 1995. She has also been an active member of the Alumnae Council and the Reunion Committee.
