Hobart and William Smith Colleges Athletics

Leon "Dutch" Leader '29 was a four-year letterwinner in both basketball and lacrosse and a three-year letterwinner in football. In 1929 he served as the captain of both the lacrosse and basketball teams. He led the basketball team in scoring in this same year. During his senior season Leader was the only Hobart athlete to letter in three varsity sports. He was named a lacrosse third-team All-American in 1929. He won the Statesmen Athletic Association Annual Award for outstanding contributions to Hobart athletics in 1985.
