TROY, N.Y. -- Despite 17 saves from first-year goalkeeper Cory Rosier (Liverpool/Liverpool, N.Y.), the Hobart soccer team lost 2-1 at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
First-year Daniel Bobis (Nottingham/Syracuse, N.Y.) assisted on classmate Bryan Bome's (Marcellus/Syracuse, N.Y.) goal in the 60th minute to give the Statesmen a 1-0 lead.
The host Engineers rallied with a pair of scores in a span of just under five minutes to take a 2-1 lead in the 80th minute, and held on for the one-goal victory.
On Sat., Oct. 2, the Statesmen travel to Skidmore for a 2 p.m. start.
