GENEVA, N.Y. -- At Alumni Field, junior Hunter Brown (Brooks School/Pittsburgh, Pa.) scored a pair of goals to lead the Hobart College soccer team to a 2-0 victory over visiting Clarkson University on Saturday afternoon. The Statesmen improved to 7-6-0, 3-2-0 in the Upstate Collegiate Athletic Association, while the Golden Knights fell to 3-6-2, 2-3-1.
Brown, who tallied three assists on Friday against St. Lawrence University, scored off a pass from first-year Bryan Bome (Marcellus/Syracuse, N.Y.) in the 32nd minute to give Hobart a 1-0 lead. Sophomore Brett Donelson (Fayetteville-Manlius/Jamesville, N.Y.) tallied his first career point with an assist on Brown's second goal of the afternoon in the 54th minute.
First-year goalkeeper Cory Rosier (Liverpool/Liverpool, N.Y.) recorded three saves for the Statesmen, while senior Brad Sayer (Monroe-Woodbury/Brooklyn, Conn.) made one save for Clarkson.
Hobart returns to action on Wed., Oct. 20 for a 4 p.m. game at Hamilton College.
