ONEONTA, N.Y. -- Senior Tatiana Korba (Wooster/Wooster, Ohio) netted three goals to lead the William Smith College Herons to a 5-0 victory this afternoon over the Hartwick Hawks in Division III women's soccer action.
Korba scored the initial two goals of the contest for the Herons. The first was a 15-foot blast off a Brianna Tindall (Poultney/Castleton, Vt.) crossing pass at the 18:41 mark of the first half. She added an unassisted goal four minutes later.
Freshman Kristen Falzarano (Morristown/Morris Plains, N.J.) headed in a Hilary Bertolami (Brooks School/Acton, Mass.) shot off the cross bar to increase William Smith's lead to 3-0 with just under five minutes remaining in the opening half.
Senior Antoinette DeLucia (Shenendehowa/Mechanicsville, N.Y.) assisted on Korba's third goal, and Tindall tallied the final score of the afternoon on an assist from Erika Turner (Wayzata/Plymouth, Minn.).
William Smith, who outshot Hartwick 37-0, next travels to Elmira on Wednesday, April 22 at 4:30 p.m.
