GENEVA, N.Y. -- Senior goalie Leslie Khachadourian (Guilderland/Albany, N.Y.) had 21 saves to lead the No. 8 William Smith College lacrosse team to an 18-11 victory over visiting Union College in women's lacrosse action on Saturday. First-year Megan Shea (Mountain Lakes/Mountain Lakes, N.J.) finished with a career-high six goals and one assist for the Herons (11-1), who have won 15 of their last 16, and 31 of 33 regular season contests. The 19th-ranked Dutchwomen (7-6) suffered their fourth straight loss.
Khachadourian became just the second William Smith netminder to record 500 saves, joining Sarah Daniels '95. While improving her career record to 35-4, Khachadourian increased her career saves total to 510. Daniels collected 658 from 1992-95.

The Herons received four goals from Shea, and two from sophomore Gwen Parker (Woodstock/Brownsville, Vt.) in outscoring Union 11-5 in the final 30 minutes. After junior Melanie Thornton's (Bethlehem/Delmar, N.Y.) second unassisted goal of the day reduced Union's deficit to 11-9 with 11:25 left, William Smith deposited seven of the final nine scores to secure the win in the regular season finale for both teams.
Junior Meghan Genovese (Geneva/Geneva, N.Y.) and Parker both had two goals and an assist for the Herons. Nason-Junco tallied three goals, first-year Amanda Wynn (Loomis Chaffee/Aspen, Colo.) finished with one goal and a career-high matching three assists, and Reilly delivered one goal and one assist.
