April 12, 2003ITHACA, N.Y.—The Hobart College tennis team returned to the win column today with a 5-2 victory over Ithaca College at Cornell University. The Statesmen improve to 11-6 overall and 9-5 in the spring.
Sophomore Peter Piné (Princeton/Princeton, N.J.) improved his record to a team-best 20-4 at the first singles spot, while the doubles team of sophomore Colman Currie (St. George’s/London, England) and junior Jimmie Banta (Wardlaw-Hartridge/Westfield, N.J.) upped their record to 9-4 at the second position.
The Statesmen return to action on April 17, when they host Hamilton College at 4 p.m.
