April 27, 2003POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y.--After breezing through the first two rounds of play in the UCAA Tournament, the Hobart College tennis team met its match in top-seeded Skidmore in the championship game. The Statesmen dropped a 6-1 decision to the Thoroughbreds, falling to 14-7 on the season.
The sole winner for Hobart was Colman Currie (St. George's/London, England) in the fourth singles spot. He posted an overall record of 10-8, while Peter Piné (Princeton/Princeton, N.J.) had the best record on team at 22-5 in the first singles spot.
