GENEVA, N.Y.—The Hobart squash team had to wait more than 10 weeks for its home opener, but the Statesmen put on a clinic tonight in their first appearance in the Dr. Frank P. Smith ’36 Squash Center, dispatching Hamilton, 9-0.
All nine Hobart players posted 3-0 victories, including first-year
Tucker Crockett’s (Episcopal Academy/Rosemont, Pa.) impressive 9-0, 9-0, 9-0 victory at No 5.
The win snapped a five-match slide by the 15th-ranked Statesmen, and raised the team’s record to 10-6, marking the fourth consecutive season Hobart has reached double digits in victories. The loss drops No. 25 Hamilton to 3-4.
The Statesmen return to action at 6:30 p.m., on Feb. 4, when Colgate visits the Smith Squash Center.
