GENEVA, N.Y.--The Hobart tennis team improved to 14-3 this season with a 5-2 victory over the College of New Jersey this afternoon. The Lions, ranked 14th in the latest ITA Northeast rankings, fall to 8-4.
The Statesmen captured the first point of the match by winning at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles. The tandem of senior
Trevor McAndrew (Northfield Mount Hermon/Westerly, R.I.) and junior
Peter Piné (Princeton/Princeton, N.J.) won at No. 1 for their fifth consecutive victory to improve to 15-5 this season.

Matt Silver (Weston/Weston, Conn.) and junior
Colman Currie (St. George's School/London, England) posted victories at first, second, fourth, and fifth singles, respectively. The straight set victories by Piné and Silver mark the sixth consecutive wins for both men.
Justin Cook and Victor Lai earned points for New Jersey at No. 3 and No. 6, respectively.
Hobart closes out its regular season on April 20, when the Statesmen visit RIT for a 4 p.m. match.
