Box Score KEUKA PARK, N.Y.--The William Smith soccer team opened the 2005 season with a dominating 4-0 victory over Keuka College. The Herons got goals from four different players and outshot their hosts 35-0.

Sophomore Laura Burnett-Kurie (Oyster River/Durham, N.H.) netted the first goal/game winner in the 18th minute. She has scored seven goals in her career, all game winners.

William Smith led 1-0 at halftime.

Junior Alexandra Rieben (Guilford/Gilford, Conn.), sophomore Courtney Peters (Williamson/Williamson, N.Y.), and first-year Allison Van Heugten (Corpus Christi Academy/Corpus Christi, Texas) tickled the twine in the second half to give William Smith breathing room.

Junior Nikki Dudley (Chittenango/Chittenango, N.Y.) earned the shutout without making a stop.

The Herons are back in action at noon, on Sept. 3, when they travel to Geneseo State.
