Box Score OSWEGO, N.Y.--The William Smith field hockey team picked up a 3-0 victory over Oswego State this afternoon behind the two-goal effort of senior forward Maggie Dolan (Towson/Towson, Md.). The Herons improve to 3-1, while the Lakers fall to 0-3.

Dolan opened the afternoon's scoring in the 11th minute, driving home an unassisted goal. Juniors Brooke Atwood (Marathon/Marathon, N.Y.) and Sophie Dennis (Dana L. West/Port Byron, N.Y.) teamed up to give William Smith a 2-0 lead in the 18th minute. Atwood posted her first goal of the season and Dennis moved within two points of becoming the 10th Heron to score 100 career points.

Dolan added her team-leading fourth goal of the season in the second half, again unassisted, to close out the scoring.

In goal, senior Sue Jordan (Boothbay/Boothbay, Maine) logged her first shutout of the year without facing a shot.
