Box Score TROY, N.Y.—The 16th-ranked Hobart soccer team improved its record to 7-1-0 overall and 2-0 in the Liberty League after defeating Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute 3-1 this afternoon. The Engineers drop to 4-4-0, 0-2 in league play.

Sophomores Dan Riso (Red Hook Central/Red Hook, N.Y.), Matt Schwartz (Lower Merion/Wynnewood, Pa.), and Philipp Schoeniger (Erlangen/Erlangen, Germany) all scored for the Statesmen, while classmate Pete Van Dellon (Webster Thomas/Webster, N.Y.) (4-0-0) tallied four saves in goal.

Hobart will be in action again on Sept. 26 when it travels to Rochester to take on St. John Fisher in a non-league game at 6 p.m.
