Box Score ROCHESTER, N.Y.—The fifth-ranked William Smith College soccer team extended its 2007 unbeaten streak to 13 games this afternoon, as it shutout RIT 2-0 in a non-conference match. The Herons now hold a 12-0-1 overall mark, while the Tigers drop to 6-5-2 on the season.
First-year Brelynn Nasypany (Herkimer/Herkimer, N.Y.) netted William Smith’s first goal of the day from senior
Laura Burnett-Kurie (Oyster River/Durham, N.H.) less than 12 minutes into the game. Nasypany got by a defender and dribbled in to shoot from 10 yards out.
Burnett-Kurie was also responsible for the Herons’ second score. After a lead pass up the middle from junior
Julia Bernay (Newport Harbor/Newport Beach, Calif.), Burnett-Kurie beat RIT goalkeeper Heather Moe for the tally.
William Smith out shot its host 11-7, and took five corner kicks to RIT’s one.

Alice Binns (Beaver Country Day/Boston, Mass.) earned her fifth shutout of the year after recording three saves. Moe finished with three saves for the Tigers.
William Smith will host Clarkson on Oct. 20 for a Liberty League match at 2 p.m.
