Kaitlyn Hamilton (Harpursville/Harpursville, N.Y.) put home the game-winner for her team-leading 12th goal of the year.
The Herons (9-1, 4-0) started with the ball in OT, working their way down into the Union defensive zone, where they earned a penalty corner. Junior
Kelsey Landahl (Pioneer/Delevan, N.Y.) sent the insertion to the top of the circle where it was received by senior
Brittney Paye (Clinton/Clinton, N.Y.). Paye sent a pass to her left that Hamilton slotted into the lower left corner of the cage.
William Smith enjoyed a healthy margin in shots (27-8) and penalty corners (14-8), but struggled to solve Union’s junior goalie Liz Stanford (Acton-Boxboro/Acton, Mass.). She finished the match with 15 saves.

Both teams had quality scoring chances in the second half, but Stanford made nine stops and DeKraker two to keep the frame scoreless.
