CANTON, N.Y.--The William Smith College squash team finished second in the Liberty League Round Robin Championship this weekend. The Herons posted a 2-1 record, including an 8-1 win over host St. Lawrence today.

Lori Stump, Maddie Brooks, and Katie Mullen won their matches 3-0 at No. 2, No. 3, and No. 5, respectively, while Lucy Ross, Emily Gailun, and Sarah Hallberg posted 3-1 victories at No. 1, No. 4, and No. 7, respectively. Emily Hazenberg at No. 6 and Anne Fallon at No. 8 pulled out 3-2 wins to complete William Smith's scoring.

Hamilton won its second straight conference championship with a 3-0 run through the weekend. St. Lawrence (1-2) was third, while Vassar (0-3) finished fourth.

The Herons are back in action on Dec. 1-2 when they compete in the Wesleyan Round Robin.
