Box Score GENEVA, N.Y.—The Hobart College basketball team, behind the double-double of senior forward John Grazioli (St. Anthony’s/Melville, N.Y.), dispatched visiting Keuka College 83-53 in a non-conference game in Bristol Gym tonight. Grazioli scored 21 points and collected 12 rebounds to pace the Statesmen.

Hobart (4-1) was equally impressive on the glass, outrebounding the Storm 52-33. That advantage equated to an 18-5 edge in second chance points. The Statesmen shot 43.5 percent from the floor, while limiting Keuka to just 29.2.

First-year guards Tim Llewellyn (West York/York, Pa.) and Mark Bruce (Fairport/Fairport, N.Y.) joined Grazioli in double figures in the scoring column. Llewellyn had 17 points, three rebounds, three assists, and three steals, while Bruce notched 11 points and four boards.

Leading 12-10 midway through the first half, Hobart used a 13-0 run to break the contest open. Llewellyn keyed the surge with two of his three three-pointers. The Storm managed to whittle their deficit down to seven, 30-23, with five minutes remaining in the half, but the Statesmen used another 13-0 run to carry a 43-23 lead into halftime.

In the second half, Hobart never let its lead slip below 15 points en route to its most lopsided win of the season.

First-year forward Raquan Banks (Schenectady/Newark, N.J.), who began the night averaging 26.8 ppg, led Keuka with 11 points and six rebounds.

The Statesmen are back in action on Wed., Dec. 5, when they host Rochester. Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
